Civil Defence Academy, established in 1958, is at 22-Aikman Road GOR-I, Lahore. It is the premier training institute of Civil Defence department to cater higher-level training in the field of Civil Defence and other allied subjects. This institute has also been declared as Regional Training Centre for ICDO member countries. The participants, both from within the country as well as from overseas, have been availing training.
CIVIL DEFENCE COURSES
Civil Defence Academy since its beginning has been regularly conducting Civil Defence Courses of various types under different captions and duration. As a result of the experience of 1965 & 1971 wars and prevailing situation being faced by our country, the entire Civil Defence training set up was re-organized to meet the growing and changing demands of training.
INTERNATIONAL COURSES
Civil Defence Academy, Lahore a Regional Training Centre of International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO) with headquarters at Geneva, has been conducting scheduled courses of different captions. The courses are conducted under the auspices of Directorate General Civil Defence, Government of Pakistan in close collaboration with the international forum (ICDO).

CHARTER OF CIVIL DEFENCEACADEMY
- To conduct higher and specialized training in Civil Defence and allied subjects including N.B.C. Warfare Defence.
- To render technical advice in the field of Civil Defence and allied subjects.
- To carry out research, studies, seminars, and workshops and conduct special courses as may be entrusted by the Directorate General Civil Defence.
- To provide any other assistance in matters relating to Civil Defence as desired by the higher authorities.
